Well first off what are you currently using, as far as tell our parents just tell sraight foward what you want. Thats what I did when I went from brifes to boxers.

Honestly, go commando :D But if you must wear underwear, boxers are really good. Just tell them you want some new underwear, or go buy your own.

Just tell them you bought new underwear when you come home from shopping for them. That should be enough. If they asked more questions, just say 'I liked those ones.'

Tebow.....what's up with the boxer/briefs that you wear now? Why do you want to change?

Do you anticipate problems with your parents? Do you think that they will not want you to change styles?

Unless you tell us otherwise...I would think that it would be no big deal to your parents if; when you are out clothes shopping with them... you just point out the type you want and say "please buy these...I want to try them"....

I'd get boxers. And I'd just tell them you need some more underwear. When you are at the store just pick the new pair you want. :D

Personally, I think boxer briefs are the best underwear for a guy to wear. They have the support of briefs and the style of boxers. They give you some support and some freedom for your goods. However, since already wear boxer briefs and want to switch, I'd say boxers or go commando. If I had to choose between boxers and commando, I would say commando. Simply because boxers have way too material for my liking and they bunch up like crazy. However, going commando can be quite noticeable, especially if you are packing a big one. So if you are worried about that, I would go with boxers.

I have never been a fan of briefs. So I wouldn't go with those. They give good support, but from my experience, I always felt like everything was too packed in and they didn't give my goods enough room to breathe.

As for your parents, I would just tell them the next time you are at the store that you need new underwear and then go pick out the underwear that you want. If they say something about you getting a different kind of underwear, just say you wanted to try something new out. Honestly, I don't think they would have any issue with you choosing a different type of underwear.

I actually think it's a good thing you want to try new underwear out. A lot of guys, including me, switch it up a lot and wear different types. I wear boxer briefs most of the time, but I also wear boxers and go commando. It just depends on what situation I am in and what would be most comfortable for what I'm doing. I think it's good to have an assortment of underwear. :)

I'd choose boxerbriefs. They gave you the feel of both, but imho you'll feel like you're not wearing anything at all.

I'm glad you clarified that, because I was a little confused. As far as brand, I think the cheap k-mart brand are as good, if not better in some cases, as any of the name brand underwear I've worn.

Well I switched from briefs to boxer brief type trunks about a week ago, and they are much more comfortable. They give so much more room for my penis, and you can hide erections more easily.

I wear boxer birefs and trunks! You should try trunks, they're kinda like boxer breifs but shorter. Plus they're kinda sexy to look at! Haha ;)

I wear boxer briefs and boxers but boxer briefs give more compression :) and boxers make me feel like I'm naked! But yeah just tell your parents what you want...

I actually just changed from briefs to trunks (some people call them boxers here and others boxer briefs or jocks) and I like them so much better :D

I believe that preference of underwear is quite a personal matter, and would not cause much of an issue if you decide to change them at your own discreetion.

I would not put my suggestion on any type of underwear directly, but an advice would be to try different styles to see which you find most comfortable with.
This topic would give you different options to try based on people's personal preference, while at the end of it, it's your personal comfort which matters the most.
