Does anyone wear em to cover scars/cuts? I hopefully quit cutting... I hate, absolutely hate seeing my scars now! And I wear one bracelet being its all I have but should I try to find those 1" wide ones? It would cover a few scars hopefully. Being Im to young for a tattoo... I wouldnt want one secondly cause I got some sub contentious thing against em.

Being a girl, I wear around fourty five hair ties, four band bracelets, a few braided string bracelets, a couple jelly bracelets, and rubber bands depending on the day. Both of my arms have bracelets up about two and a half inches from my elbow. Then again, you being a boy may go with something more discreet. ~holli

I dont scars on my arms because I find them easier to hide if they are on my thighs. But I think they( bracelets) are still a great idea. Like band bracelets as Holli said.

I like bracelets, but I don't know about using them to cover scars. What about the bands that are straight and you like slap them on your wrist and they curl? Those might work as they are pretty wide.

I do wear bracelets. Mainly band ones from Hot Topic.
Being a guy, can make things hard. But I've seen several gay and straight men wear band bracelets. They prices vary. It's $4.00 here, but I imagine it would be cheaper where you are.
A simple watch can cover up even the most of scars.

Ill need a hair band soon :P Long hair = pony tail. But yeah the one I do wear, its brown so its "masculine" and I can look guy enough in them haha.

Bracelets work! I always use them, I don't ever not where them... If that makes sense.
If they're to cover up cuts, layer the bracelets up so they cover them, if it's just scars, not too much of a problem :)

I used to wear loads up my arm I think I ended up with 25 I wore every day just to cover what I did to my wrist however that was two years ago and I dress differently now, I wear one or two occasionally but not to hide scars anymore. But yeah they usually work and I have plenty of guy friends who wear bracelets too so don't worry about that aspect.

not all the time usually I just wear long sleeves to cover up but sometimes when the cuts are closer to my wrist I wear a watch or hair ties around my wrists.

I think those should work, the hair ties. But keep in mind they can be thin.

I used to cut and haven't really gotten to the point where I'm comfortable with just anyone seeing my scars--they're dark and really noticeable. So I still wear bracelets about halfway up my arms. Something I started doing when I was working on trying to quit cutting was making my own bracelets, so most of the ones I wear I've made. It gave me something to do as a distraction. I still make them now when I feel triggered by something. And like someone else said--I know plenty of guys who wear different kinds of bracelets, so it wouldn't be too weird or anything :)

Definately try a watch, that's a good idea. Band bracelets, or just leather are good too. Wider is better, since you don't have to wear as many. I know I'd rather wear say Four 4-inch ones instead of Eight 2-inch ones (Just theoretical numbers, not relevant at all, haha)

Personally I don't do it on my wrists/arms anymore because of it being so visiable and my school is so strict with uniforms we're allowed one charity band and that's it. I think it's a good idea, it could draw attention to the area if you have lots but it will cover the majority of your arm up. I have about 10 charity bands I wear anyway, they're pretty good but maybe you'd want ones that stay in place maybe like friendship bracelets or something?

When I do cut, I cut on my arm, thighs, or wrist. I do it mainly on my thighs and wrist because no one will see my thighs, and my wrist I do wear bracelets to cover up. It's annoying trying to hide it on my wrist. But oh well. Since I am on my way to recovery, I dont care who sees. Best luck to you x

The dollar store tends to have the wide ones. I personally wear rubber bands (make sure they aren't tight on fresh cuts cuz it'll hurt) and the wide bands. I've also made thick handmade braclets and those tend to help hide it. if you want them to fade id suggest a bio-oil cream.

I cut on my ankles mostly so I wear anklets. I hide the few on my wrist with hair bands.

My cuts are a little high on my arm. I would need 20 bracelets to cover them. I have 3 sadly :/ I just wear long sleeve shirts and hoodies. Which sucks sometimes because it gets hot and I pull up my sleeves and forget I'm showing my cuts o.o

I only ever cut where I couldn't hide it twice.
One time just looked like a fall, or walking through a thorny bush, the other it was obvious with several straight lines. The intent wasn't to actually self harm there, just to see what it was like to cut in the stereotypical place. I just wore long sleeves. If they were high enough, I would have worn bracelets.

Thats what I would do too... I wouldnt cut on my wrist, more my forearm. And I have 2 bracelets but they dont do any good to hide them. Long sleeves, well I always roll them up cause I dont like em on me, and that doesnt help either.
