I do really want one, but is it worth spending the £400 on one, plus one of those smart cases, when I already have an iPod Touch (4th Gen) and will be getting the iPhone 5 in Jan/Feb?
And is the Cellular model for the new iPad, the same as the 3G model for the iPad2?

I mean if you want a giant iPod touch, go for it. Otherwise it's basically pointless especially if you're getting an iPhone 5 soon.

Yeah, if you already have an iPod touch and are getting the new iPhone soon, I don't really see the need for an iPad...

If You want it go for it, I Have the Ipad and Love It, I mainly use the email and notes and business apps for school, I Also have a wide variety of games, The screen is bigger so it is easier to use, I couldnt use an Ipod touch for games because it is too small in my opinion

Honestly, it doesn't sound like it's worth it. Sure, it'd be nice to have, but you already have an iTouch and will be getting an iPhone so I don't think it's worth it.

Before I got mine, I thought that it would be pointless, but I have found it's fantastic. If you only use a laptop for the internet, this is great for it. I use it to take notes at school.
You cant really say that because you have an iPhone and an iPod that you don't really need it, because the large screen size makes a hell of a lot of difference when it comes to watching movies.
Maybe you could save a little money and get the iPad 2. In my opinion, they are still just as good, and I think the retina display doesn't matter all that much.

Thanks guys, but I've ended up going for the Samsung Galaxy Note tablet thingy, the newest one. So far I am loving it xD but yeah, the guys had said that this is overall better than the iPad... It's faster and more suitable to what I'd be using it for ^.^

it IS better than any other tablet on the market. The biggest question is, is it useful for you?
The Surface (and a bunch of other Windows 8-based tablets) are coming out soon. Those are actual, full-featured tablets that can run a lot (RT) or all (Pro) of the same programs that you run on your computer or laptop. So if you want something for working, there isn't anything better than waiting for those.
If you want a tablet for playing games, surfing the web, small edits to documents, and all that kind of stuff, the iPad is most likely the most powerful option, and the best money can buy right now (I will reserve future judgment based on power and price of Win8-based tablets).
If you just want a cheap and otherwise useless toy, go for an Android tablet. Most are fairly cheap and about as useful as a toy can be.

I disagree. Yes this tablet is android, but it was far from cheap (this was £1 cheaper than the new iPad) and far from useless. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Apple products, but the iPad isn't' as good as the the galaxy note. Not for what I want/need it for.
I will, more than likely get an iPad at some point, just cos I can.
The iPad isn't actually that powerful, not in terms of processors anyway.
