I think this is valuable information for people struggling with the whole hell thing and if god is truly going to send u to hell. Not trying to be rude. Well at bible.com they did say that god said that homosexuality is a sin. However it is not either of the 2 unforgivable sins which are blasphemy against the holy spirit and rejecting jesus christ.
So it will be forgiven if you accept god and arent blasphemous against him.
So I hope this helps any one who is scared or worried about an after

Ok I am religious to a certain extent. I am a Catholic by the way.
But I believe God made us all in his image and without fault. I believe that we have no control over our sexualities so it was God's will for us to be gay. So therefore why would I be doomed for an eternity in hell by God when it was Him who made me this way?
Thats my view on it anyway.

I've been told i'm going to hell, because i don't belive in god or jesus, and i don't give a fuck....
Do not turn this into a religious debate. This is about assuring people who religious and are concerned about their sexuality. That was uncalled for and if you do it again you're getting an infraction for trolling.

Well just to put the question to rest, the answer to that is he DOESN'T send you to hell. You send you to hell. That is, he loved us enough to give us the choice wether we would follow him (and go to heaven) or follow our own desires (hell). Not to continue the debate; that's just the answer any Christian would give you (take from it what you will).

No offence to anyone who is religious or anything, but I don't think anyone who really believes God created everything etc. should believe in that, and if they do it's hypocrisy in my opinion, because your sexuality is something you are born with, people born homosexual don't wake up one morning and go "Hmm, I think I'll turn gay today."
Just like everyone else, they learn this at a very young age, and develop feelins for a certain person (example, schoolyard crushes), whether that person is male or female, their sexuality, their feelings isn't something they can just choose (however, you can choose and control your actions).
It angers me greatly that the bible says this, and religious people (esp. Catholics, again, no offence) take this so literally and to an extent discriminant against those in same sex relationships, when they are learning in their church that God is creator of all, all life is equal, therefore God created gay/bi-sexual people, and their life and self worth is worth as much as the people discrimating against them.
Sorry for the long, rambling post that probably makes little sense, this is just a topic that really angers me. :/

:whoops:err sorry it wasn't supposed to come across the way it did i guess. It was just supposed to put lies to rest. Like when certain people (usually highly religous) say that anyone who is gay is going to hell. And some people may believe this and get worried that they should live a lie and not be gay or bi or something sorry i should have explained this better. I'll try to be clearer in my future posts :whoops:

Actually there is only one unforgivable sin, which is insulting the Holy Spirit.
Rejecting the Lored is not an unforgivable sin. We just have to pray for them.
(:

God did write the Bible....
The Holy Spirit helped the person to write the Scriptures.

If God willed it to be so, why would he contradict himself by saying that one man and woman will join and become one?
Anyway, to directly quote the Bible (NIV)
" Do not lie with one man and one lies with a woman, that is detestable"
Leviticus 18:24
But God, being a gracious God, will forgive you in you sincerely pray and confess your sins.

So he "forgives" you for being gay? If you're gay you have to confess your sexuality as being something less than heterosexuality?
Excuse me but that's bullshit.

Excuse me but that's bullshit.
In 1 John 1:9, (NIV) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive all our sins and will purify us from all unrighteousness"
God is merciful and will forgive us of all sins. Homosexuality IS a sin.
Im not "bullshitting".

That's not what I meant, sorry if I was unclear.
I meant that the fact they have to apologise for something they have no control over is ridiculous, it's like making someone apologise for being white.
