THOUSANDS watched with bated breath as a giant human tower reached its peak.
The crazy event was NOT meant to set a world record — it’s a Catalan tradition where people pile up to create “castells”.
Members of the Colla 'Castellers de Vilafranca' performed the amazing stunt at the weekend’s 24th Tarragona Castells Competition.
They are experts at building human towers with precise techniques in groups known as "colles" and have shown off their skills all over the world.
