Why the giant panda should be saved!

I'm doing a speech for geography for our class project on endangered animals. And mine was the giant panda. Any ideas? I've already got some down I just need a bit more.

Ecological niche - what is the impact of it to the wider environment of its loss (most organisms fill a function that other organisms depend upon, so domino effects can magnify an extinction into a much larger event).

Aesthetics - they are cute.

Moral imperative - is mankind to blame for its decline, and if so do we feel obliged to rectify the situation?

Posterity - would future generations be able to artificially re-create the species in future? (I.e inaction now could remove the choice from future generations: do we have that right? )
