Hi everyone,
I am in the UK and, as I'm sure you know, soccer is a very big game out here. David Beckham in particular is a very highly strung player. I was just wondering how he has settled into American lifestyle. Do you go to school in the mornings and say, 'David Beckham played well last night', or is he just another high profile footballer settling down in America?
Your views, please

Frankly, I dont think most Americans give a hoot that Beckhams here. Most arent into "soccer", And it is viewed by many as a "weak" "European" Sport. Its the sad truth... ( please correct me if Im wrong, But I get that impression from many here)

I agree with this.

But I disagree with that. A few do think that way but that's not a majority opinion. That's just an American stereotype. It's just people aren't as interested in soccer.
It's just American football (NFL, college, etc.), basketball, and baseball are just the most popular here. Soccer has never really been a strong interest compared to the media attention and time those other sports do.
