Trying to install dos 6.22 onto dosbox.

I've spen the past hour trying to install DOs 6.22 onto dosbox, but I can't do that without accessing the hardisk image I made, for some reason It dosn't show in explore bt I can get it to show up in command prompt or dosbox, i tried opening it through commands but it told me the directory was invalid, can someone help me?

What are you even trying to accomplish?

I was under the impression DOSBox was an emulator, not a virtual machine, so it wouldn't be possible to install an operation system onto it. But I Googled it and apparently it's possible. The instructions I found say you need to use a hard disk image though.

yeah, thats my dilemma, I can't seem to get access to my hardisk image I created. it won't show up in explorer so I can open it.

I'm going to try using a VHD image, maybe that might work.

wow I was installing the wrong DOS version to begin with... I need 7 not 6.22
