Just do your best and if you need to get some help with your classes. Your mom just wants you to succeed where as they did not. Talking to her about how you are having a tough time may help.

Hope this helps.

I know what you mean. While it isn't nearly as bad for me as it is for some of my friends, my parents are also constantly on my case for every low mark I get.
A "C" on a test? Thomas, you're going to live under a bridge when you get older!
A "B" overall grade in maths? Thomas, no good college will ever even think about you!

My (not stereotyping here, it's just a common pattern I've seen) Asian friends tell me how they get grounded if they don't have an "A" on every single assignment in every class.

Don't take it too seriously -- mind you, don't ignore it, because that won't help you at all -- but understand that your parents only want you to have a good future and avoid the mistakes they made, even though it may not always seem like that.

Maybe you could ask your teachers if they could help you with whatever subjects you're failing. I've heard that helps some people.

My dad doesn't usually care; well I mean he does, and he, and all my teachers know I try my hardest.
However, with my learning disabilities, I don't think I'll ever be able to get good grades in an academic class. Oh well, it's not i'm going to be accepted to a college...

But do try to go at lunch, get help, talk to your school guidance counselor. They will be your best friend when trying to improve your grades.

A bunch of people say don't worry a B is not the end of the world, a C its ok its not good but it could be worse. Report cards say that A- Outstanding, B - Above average, C - Average, but in the world we live in because of the current generation that is in control we won't be able to do anything if we don't have at least an A, or a gpa below 4.0 weighted. Welcome to the modern world, where we are worth nothing unless a piece of paper tells that you are.
