I'm not sure what it is but it doesn't feel like a head ache. There is this pain jolting through my head, on each side. It makes me feel somewhat lightheaded and dizzy. It's sort of like a throbbing pain that won't go away. What do you guys think it is?

Kind of sounds like a migraine, they're normally on one or both sides of your head, but that varies quite a bit, and feel like it's throbbing. Are you nauseous at all? Sensitive to light?

I'm guessing a migraine. Take an ibuprofen and try to get some rest. :D

It really depends on whether there have been any migraine triggers, or if you've had any other symptoms, what your diet and sleep have looked like etc. But I'd guess it is a migraine.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say it was a migraine. My mother gets them all the time, and she even has to take medicine to help prevent them. If it doesn't go away, though, or lasts several days, I would see a doctor as soon as you can. It's one thing to have a migraine that was triggered by something for a day or an evening. It's another to have a migraine and the pain with it for several days on end, especially at your age. If that's the case, it can be an indicator of any number of other, more serious conditions. I really hope that the pain just goes away, and that all it was was a migraine hun..

I think you both should if it continues to come back in various forms. Visiting a Doctor would be wise as they can give you medication that is stronger than over the counter stuff and can also give you medication to possibly stop getting them so frequently or so severe.
Also you never know it could be something a lot worse than just a simple migraine although does sound like it is. So hopefully you don't have anything to worry about.
I would recommend just keep taking your regular pain killers when you get them and if they are occasional then there is no concern for a doctor unless the pain becomes unbearable. However if they are frequent then do visit the doctor and don't be shy about making an appointment as they are usually happy to help.
One last bit of advice would be to get plenty of sleep and possibly take a nap when you feel one coming on as a nap can always help release the tension and prevent or get rid of headache. Also plenty of sleep would help as well.
Just my two cents on the situation.
