Hi girls of VT, i have for long thought of this, don't mind it, i love it. but why do you all wear short shorts or short skirts that are so short that you can see the ass and the line thing that separates the ass and thigh.

why do you all wear
We don't all wear them. Some of us do.
In response to your question, every girl has a different reason. Sometimes, we just like the pattern and it doesn't happen to be longer. Or some people want male attention. Sometimes they were gifts and we feel obliged to wear them. Other times, it's just too damn hot not to wear something short. There are tons of reasons. Maybe they're "cool" or something.

That chick in the picture has a hint of a cameltoe :(
I don't wear shorts that short. If I want my butt to be seen, I'll look at it in the mirror. I can't speak for the other girls, Evil Angel has covered some nicely though.

Urrmmm who wears these kind of shorts? I certainly don't. Iwouldn't feel comfortable in something like that, but I guess everyone's taste in clothing is different, so I can't speak for all the other girls in the world that apparently wear them.

Too tight x-x I wear short shorts but I always check for cameltoe because it's really gross to have one.
Just because a cloth is in trend it doesn't mean some girls should wear it. A piece of clothing should look be worn because it makes you look good in it.

It is not the majority of girls that wear clothes like this, try not to generalise. I certainly don't, never have and never plan on wearing shorts even twice the length of that. It's very degrading and personally I don't see why girls do wear them, as Alex said though, everyone has their own reasons.

sorry if i generalized, i know not every single girl wears them, but out of 20 girls i see, nearly 18 of them wear them, so i was just wondering.

I wear shorts quite regularly. Probably not much longer than those, but not quite as tight.

What's wrong with them? It takes a lot of courage for me to wear things like that, since I've had eating issues and I have scars all over my thighs. I've overcome cutting, and my eating issues with a lot of hard work, so I can be happy with myself, and so I can wear what I want. So on that note, i'll wear what I like without being judged thank you very much :)

Oh and a large amount of girls do it due to the pressure put on girls by males too look sexy, and others, like me, wear them when it's too hot to wear anything else. Would you like me to tell you that you look terrible in shorts and should go round in jeans on the hottest summer day? :)

Think before you judge.

I generally will never wear anything that short, it's just tacky to me

i LOVE to wear short shorts... but i don't like them as tight as the ones that pic. i hate cameltoe... ew, gross! but for some reason my brain is addicted to showing off bcuz i can't help showing alot of skin and getting all the attention i can. and i'm not gonna change bcuz anyone judges me about that, either.

love,
-maddie

I hate wearing shorts and I avoid them if I can, which means that though I own shorts for when it gets too warm, they're not terribly short. Plus, they're not tight at all - much more on the baggy side. I don't understand either why some girls insist, but I've always thought that they were trying to reassure themselves that they could fit. A confidence thing, you know?
