How does your ethnicity come into this?
I'm not a huge metalcore or screamo fan, but I do listen to it and if there's a gig then I'll usually go just to find a halfway decent mosh pit (most of the fans are expats, and locals around here don't know how to mosh. If I was at a proper metal gig then it would be 99% locals and 1% moshing.)

I used to be into all metalcore but i have realized that its nowhere near as good as deathcore/death metal. A lot of metalcore has become very generic and boring. Instead of listening to bands from rise records, listen to bands from sumerian records. And im not talking about asking alexandria/make me famous/i see stars. Listen to born of osiris/ veil of maya/ or the faceless. Sumerian is best!

Bring Me The Horizon, Memphis May Fire, The Amity Affliction, In Fear and Faith, Woe, Is Me are all cool metalcore bands, not a big fan of A Day To Remember however.

Yes, because people who enjoy metalcore are incapable of enjoying anything that is considered technical, because we're too busy listening to simple sounds, wearing girls trousers and slip-on shoes and getting ourselves tattooed all over while doing multiple squats. :rolleyes:

I don agree with you that most metalcore is not very technical. However, there's nothing wrong with a simple sound, it's the vocal work that distinguishes most metalcore bands anyway.

The vocals are cheesy, lyrics are cheesy, and breakdowns in general will always be so fucking stupid. I hate breakdowns just like I hate dropwubububub in brostep. It's both equally disgusting to me.

First of all, your race has as much to do with this as what I had for breakfast today (Cinnamon Toast Crunch, by the way). And, you guessed it, yep, I love a lot of metalcore bands.

I think to truly enjoy music that uses screaming is to not think of screaming as singing, but instead as an instrument. Focus less on the lyrics and more of how everything sounds together. As for breakdowns, I love a solid breakdown. But if it's overdone, like Emmure does (like 8 breakdowns in every song), if just gets annoying.

I just dont listen to them anymore. The new song they released was aweful. And yes i have heard vengeance and fame>demise. I have just gotten into heavier music like deathcore and death metal so im not really into metalcore as much anymore. I guess i shouldnt of said that i USED to like the band. I still like all their songs until the new one they made. I just wont ever really listen to them like i used to. And i dont even know anything about the break up and the other band issues or whatever. I really dont care
