She gave you a nickname and talks to you in a different voice than other people--she's obviously interested in you in some way, at the very least as just a friend. You say you're the new kid in school, so the first thing I would do is to keep getting to know her better for a bit. Once you've gotten to know her more, I would just try asking her out, whether that be on a date somewhere or whatever. Chances are, if she's not dating someone, she'll probably accept at that point. Don't assume that she won't like you just because other people like assholes at your school. You never know what might happen if you just try and give it the chance. Don't worry and fret so much about it, hun, or you'll overcomplicate things. Just focus on getting to know her better right now, and then in the future just try asking her out on a date.
