How do you download the free version on your laptop? And does the free version come with Multiplayer?

You can download the demo at minecraft.net. I paid for the full version, so I don't know in what ways it's limited.

Minecraft comes with a built in demo now, so just download it and don't use an account. Oh and it doesn't come with multiplayer

The demo doesn't come with multiplayer... But I recommend buying it because the multiplayer is the best part!
