I do have a few girl friends, but my friends are primarily guys. Aside from sports and whatnot I'm a fairly typical guy so I have a lot more in common with them than I do with girls.

Same here, dude. Basically, there's a massive group of us, about 20 or so, with an even mix of guys and girls. While I tend to hang out with the girls mainly, I also have some really good friends who are guys. Sometimes you just need to find people who you mix well with. I was lucky, because I found a whole group of them :)

I'm the say way, especially more this year than last year.

Most of my guy friends; which I have a nice sum of just way more girl friends, are really close and are like brothers to me while I just have this huge amount of friends that are girls with only one being truly "close" per say. It's cool though, I've been judged before by it and I just shrug it off. Last year I hung out with mostly guys but this year I don't have any classes with them so I've resorted to my girl friends.

And just a general thought, guys in our age group tend to be more criticizing and harder to "break the ice" with compared to girls. Which is probably why I haven't made efforts to get new guy friends.

I'm the opposite. I can relate, and get along better with guys. I have very few female friends. I just think girls love drama, and guys are just laid-back.

I'm jus gonna say having more opposite sex friends than same sex friends is not a problem. Having no friends is the problem. But it is nice to have same sex friends. I'm kind of the same way as you, more girl friends than guy friends. But I don't really care because I have 2 close friends that are guys.

For me when I was in middle school 2 years ago all of my friends were guys and a few girls, and last year in freshman year, it totally switched. Now I have a lot of friends that are girls and about 5 guy friends. I just find girls are easier to talk to, we have interesting convos, and I am a sporty person, I'm not really friends with any of the guys on my teams. Like we are nice and joke but I don't consider myself to be friends with them.
