Well I just picked up these two albums and instead of making a separate thread for each, I made one thread for both.

I'll start with 'God is an Automaton' the fourth album by the Switzerland based Industrial Metal band Sybreed. It is their best album so far, it's like they have combined what made them awesome in the previous albums and put them into one awesome package. Sweet sound, check. Awesome lyrics, check. Distinctive clean and unclean vocals, double check. It's the first album they've released a single for as-well. While it is nearly impossible to understand the lyrics due to Ben's accent, his voice is chilling during the clean vocals and super powerful during the unclean ones.

Track by track, the album flows really well. The first track 'Posthuman Manifesto' really sets the album up well. The highlights of the album for me where the tracks 'No Wisdom Brings Solace', 'Downfall Inc.' and the remake of their previous song 'Challenger'. Though the whole track list is brilliant. If you are a fan of Harsh Industrial Metal and can get over the accent, then I would recommend ordering it online (because I doubt shops sell this, but if they do, get it).

Next is the album 'Gnosis' (pronounced nos-sis) by the UK based Progressive 'Groove' Metal band Monuments. This Monuments début album. Monuments released an EP back in 2010 in anticipation of their début album, but their two vocalists left, so two years later, here they are with the new vocalist Matt Rose. The guitarist for this band is none other than Jhon Browne, who was previously in the another (and one of my personal favourites) band called FellSilent. The sound is familiar to other bands such as Periphery and TesseracT, yet it is still distinct. The vocalist is brilliant, his screams sound so raw and his melodic vocals sound good as well, they reminded me of the vocalist for TesseracT, but I found his voice to be better.

The opening track 'Admit Defeat' familiarises you with the sound of Monuments as you progress through the album. The standout tracks for me were 'Degenerate', 'The Uncollective' and '97% Static'. The album flows pretty well and provides a good mix of sounds. Again, if you're a fan of bands such as Periphery, FellSilent, Tesseract or Stealing Axion, I would definitely recommend this album. Also, the album art looks sexy.

Sybreed seemed pretty cool. The clean vocals kinda ruined it for me a little but the guitar/screams were pretty awesome. Bands like Monuments kinda bore me a little. I love the idea of djent and it sounds awesome, i just cant really listen to it all the time. Periphery is really cool and i love the band Structures. Structures is djent but not like meshuggah djent. If you havent heard them check them out
