So I'm self conscicence about my body hair. So when I look at my arm hair, it looks hairy, yet when I look at the mirror (like at school, im probably 1-2 feet away, enough for the sink to be in the middle) I barely even see it. When i look at my legs, they looks really hairy, yet whne I look at the mirror (maybe 8 feet) its not as hairy as I think it looks. Which should i believe, the mirror view, or my own view ? Why does it look different with my view vs mirror view ?

I feel the same way about my body hair. For some reason I feel like the hariest human on earth. But I'd go with the image you like and feel honest about. You're not alone.

You should look at a mirror or picture. Your perspective alters the way u see it, simmilar to looking at you penis from the top or looking at it in the mirror

The mirror view for the people far away from you's perspective.. But if they're really close, like investigating your skin.. then you own view

It's entirely your own perspective. When you think about it then it actually makes a lot of sense. Looking at yourself there's only so far away you can get from your own body, but in a mirror there's not really any limit so you're seeing things from an entirely diferent perspective than you're used to - the same goes for pictures and videos of yourself.

Come to think of it, it's a very similar effect to hearing your own voice. Your voice sounds different on video than it does in your own head, that's because of where you actually hear it.
