I don't know if this is the right word.. But can I promote a game and my character in this? So, can I recommend a game in the 'geek forum' or is this a not-allowed advertisement?

Recommend? Sure!
Promote? As long as you are not completely spamming and only talking about the game, and not offering any money and such if people join the game, its okay.

Will got it right. There is a fine line between recommending something and advertising. As long as you aren't advertising it for your benefit/profit then it's okay.
