Proper way of Measuring your Penis size

So I was just bugged on what is the proper way of measuring your penis... becasuse i saw some posts where boys around 13 have 6" penis... so what is the proper way of measuring it? from the top (your point of view, when looking down to your penis), from the side, or from the underside of your penis....

A question almost the same as this came up a few days ago. Im going to post my answer to that thread here as well.

The only correct, honest and accurate way to measure is to measure from the top WITHOUT pushing in the skin at all. Measuring from the side can add ~ 1/2 inch, and pushing the skin in/bending the tape measure gives you a bit more too. Also, you measurement should be an average of a few measurements, ideally in all different conditions (ie room temp, how turned on you are), not just the biggest size you've ever recorded plus a 1/4 of an inch, as so many members do on here.

There are way to many researches and studies conducted on penis size, some measure it from the top, some measure from the side and others measure from the bottom of the penis. Personally, I measure mine from the side and i'm 6.2/6.3 inches, sometimes I measure from the top and I get 5.7/5.8 inches. So really, it's your preference which way you want to measure, i've always measured mine from the side, so that's my preference, really I didn't know that some people measured from the top until about a few months ago lol. Also, the top, side and bottom are all within 1/2 an inch of each other, so it doesn't matter which way you measure really since they're all basically in the same "ball park" . What i'd say matters the most though, is you measure along your penis, top, side bottom or whatever, so measure just the penis without pushing into the skin, that's probably the most important thing really.

I do agree that some people measure it from the side, but there actually is a 'correct' way to measure and that is from the top. Whenever the penis has to be measured, erect or flaccid, it's done along the top of the penis with a flexible ruler/tape measure. So it's safe to assume that using the professional measuring technique is the right way to go.
