I'd love a lot less drama and a good army of Walkers. At this point I wouldn't bat an eye if a tree fell and killed Lori. I cannot stand her as a mom, as a wife, as a friend and just overall her character. Blegh.

I hate Lori and Carl but that just shows good acting, directing and writing really. That I can form such an opinion about a fictional character just goes to show how damn amazing the show actually is. Definitely looking forward to the start of Season 3, hurray for UK tv not showing it until like... 2014.

First episode was absolutely fantastic. Spoilers, maybe.

Carl isn't nearly as bad as I thought he'd be, which is fantastic, from the images I saw before it started I thought he was going to be a stereotypical moody teenage boy - but he seems to have retained some elements of immaturity and isn't a total dick (yet?). Hopefully the obvious romance between Beth (?) and Carl doesn't get in the way of the actual plot because that could get very cringeworthy very fast.

I'm a little disappointed that Michonne isn't more of a zombie killing machine, sure she's cool and casually kills those three in the store without breaking a sweat - but I'd like it if instead of looking concerned about the hordes, outside the place they're hiding out, she just whipped out her sword and killed a few hundred. Other than that I'm really happy that they've split up the group. Definitely looking forward to the next couple of episodes specifically to see how they deal with the little society that they're inevitably going to come into contact with.

Most of the prison situation was handled really well, surprisingly. When I realised they were going to charge into the prison I had a horrible feeling that they were just going to wander in and use all their ammo, then get fucked in a corner. But they actually used common sense and picked off as many as they could at every opportunity, which was a nice touch in a zombie show.

It's set like six months in the future. They found the machine guns. Read the comics and watch Talking Dead.

I just watched the first episode of season three, and while I have minor criticism, it was a really good episode, ignoring the pregnancy.. Le sigh.

I haven't actually watched and followed it, I got into by watching PewDiePie play the game, then I saw an ad on TV for it, and I think I've seen two other ep's. So I need to catch up. :P

I thought that too. Then I did a little research on The Walking Dead subreddit and apparently the general consensus is that season 3 is about 8 months after the end of seasons 2. In 8 months they've been circling, unknowling, around the prison area and searching every building they come across for supplies and pumping fuel from every vehicle they come across, so it's not too unreasonable that they've got the equipment and fuel that they do.

i thought the same thing but some other groups could have left gas when they died or something so they could have gotten it. they probably found a stockpile of weapons
