I like my scars. :(

My forearms are all covered in scars from my cutting. :/ And I like my scars. :/ My mom offered to get me Bio-Oil to make them fade, but I don't want it.
Does anyone else feel like this?

yeah i made a thread about this a while ago cos i was wonderin if it was strange to like your scars

i like mine too but at the same time i want to cover them but thats so people dont ask me about it... so im torm between if i like them or not lol

I suppose there's nothing wrong with it, it's just how you feel about it. The only thing is you'll have to live sith those scars for the rest of your life (or a very long time at least), and other people might say stuff about it, although I suppose that doesn't really matter. But for example if you had children one day you might one day get a question about what those scars are from, and you'd probally have to lie to your own child(ren). But it's up to you of course, sorry I've gone on about complete crap ignore it lol. :P

I feel the same way, on and off. Sometimes I wish I could exchange my body so I wouldn't have to face the questioning looks or the prejudice while on other occasions I am grateful that I have them. In some way I find them comforting.

Not sure if it is completely healthy though. I think if I viewed them in a negative way it would not be so easy to slip in to past habits.

Ya i kinda feel that way sometimes. I want them gone just so people don't ask about them, but they also tell a story. My scars and I have a... complicated relationship :)
