What's you opinion on them? Would you be comfortable, or would it be too awquard for you?

I think it would defiantly be awkward for the first couple of days but then you would get used to it. Does you school have these because i have been to these places?

Sadly, no. There's been talk about it, but unless our school get's a huge increase in students( Right now we're C-1 Class, classic nebraska school :/ ), sadly it won't happen. But alot of people in my class would be comfortable with it from what I've heard.

I'd love it. I feel more comfortable being unclothed with girls any ways,

I would hate to have to shower or get naked publicly. Would be awkward.

The gym I go to has coed locker rooms and showers already, so I would be just fine with it. I love being naked around guys and girls too, so I would enjoy it also!

I personally think it would be inappropriate for any school to warrant both sexes changing in the same space especially at the age of 10-18+ it just isn't right.

Wouldn't worry me, grown up with that sort of thing. In my opinion its a healthy thing to see other's bodies, seeing as everyone's growing up with porn setting unrealistic expectations. Most people are conditioned by society to be against this sort of thing as a knee jerk reaction, but I've yet to hear reasons based on solid fact.

umm, what is a co-ed exactly?

I'm not shy about getting undressed around people in general especially people my age, but if you're talking about dressing rooms in general, I would say yeah it would be awkard getting undressed in front of random old men.

Same... Its just weird and yeah you can guess. Bad things can come of it and its unnecessary really.

I would like it. Maybe slight awkwardness at first. Only problem is I see a lot of sex and rape and stuff happening.

I don't know how out of control your changing rooms are, but we've always got staff nearby. If we didn't boys would get up to all kinds of shit (fighting, hiding out from their next class, smoking and drinking and drugs, maybe even sex stuff).

Nudity does not equal mass orgies and sex crime, that's ridiculous : if it were true, thousands of families wouldn't go near nudist resorts and beaches each year. I stayed in a ski hotel in Italy last year where both sexes were naked in the spa area (sauna, showers, plunge pool, steam room etc etc) and I've seen similar elsewhere. I wasn't molested and I'm pretty sure I'd have heard if anyone else was.

Yeah, I wouldn't go into a co-ed locker room. Sounds like molest city to me...and I don't enjoy being fondled.

Nudist beaches and the place you went int Italy... Im sure its full of lots of adults and everyone is much more mature about stuff VS high school... Where yeah.... Things can get outta hand fast.

Do things get out of hand already in your school? I.e. changing rooms are so unsupervised you get kids abused and people hiding out from class and stuff?

If there is already some discipline around your changing areas (which I bet there is) then why would that suddenly go away (especially when staff would be more vigilant if changing arrangements were changed!).?

My point is that you are making a huge assumption about what will happen with no data to support it. My argument is providing you with real examples proving that it doesn't have to be that way.

I know this whole idea messes with peoples heads because it goes against years of society teaching you a certain way, and its really hard to imagine it would be ok. I find this really an interesting example of how taboos in any given society keep going from generation to generation. Its like things like women wearing trousers or having the vote, mixed race couples, gay marriage etc. : some things are "just wrong" until they aren't, and vice versa :)

I didn't think this happened in the US....I am not modest at all but with girls in the locker room and showers would be totally weird to me....yes, I'm gay so that has something to do with it, but I really don't think that it is appropriate during puberty with all the hormones building and stuff to have this happen....even if it were supervised, someone somehow would find a place to do something that would be considered sexual

i agree if your talking about schools I doubt any parents would stand for this, but we do have a gym in our city that has a unisex locker room but the shower stalls are private so the most you see is underware which is pretty much the same as a bathing suit
