It also depends how much was removed.
High cuts are far from the glans, usually leaving a gap between the skin and the biggest part of the glans.
Low cuts are close to the glans, usually leaving the skin to "bunch up" like an egg holder against the glans.
Tight cuts make it hard to slide the skin.
Loose cuts make it easy to slide the skin over the glans and "look" uncut. When the skin is released from the hand, it immediately snaps back into place.

It used to be normal to leave the gap, but doctors are starting to change their styles of circumcision to more of a "low and loose" cut, leaving the skin to bundle up and allowing more sliding action.

The benefits to low/loose are plentiful. In addition to leaving more skin for masturbation, it leaves more skin for erections. During an erection, we all know what happens...well, the skin slides down. If someone has their skin (aka "uncut" or intact), they may see the glans pop out like a turtle. Well, if they're left with a circumcision that took off a lot of skin, there's a potential to have a tugging sensation, possibly to the point of discomfort.

You could always speak to your Dr if you wanted it done. Or if you want an idea of it without getting cut keep the skin retracted for a day and see how it feels. The feeling of sensitivity will go down after doing it for a couple of days but once you go back to normal it will come back

I'm recently got circumcised at July after years of pondering whether I should do it. I think its worth it as before my foreskin was very long (it overhang 1.5 inch when soft) and makes peeing very troublesome as pee goes everywhere. Also the odour is unbearable. The length of it makes it very easy to catch into zippers as well. (insanely painful) I went for it and I think its better, just that since my surgery was relatively fresh, my head still feel very sensitive against anything. I think if you want to relieve the issues of odour and messiness, go for it.

The surgical procedure was not painful (ant bites were more painful). The healing period takes more than a week but less than two weeks.

Foreskins come in all different lengths .. I think you’ll find the majority cover all when soft by a long way but it varies massively how much head is covered when hard from all to none.
If yours covers all it’s still completely fine.

Normally phimosis can be treated by manual stretching of the foreskin, only 1% of guys have phimosis and in that 1%, 99% of them can be treated by manual stretching alone and possibly steroidal cream. occasionally you have a case where neither are effective and surgery is necessary. in those cases they can do whats called a dorsal slit which is the amputation of the very tip of the foreskin and not the whole thing. All foreskins are adhered to the head before puberty, so obviously phimosis cant be diagnosed before then. most doctors in Europe and most of the world arent as cut happy as american doctors and will try other less invasive methods to treat phimosis. american doctors on the other hand are quick to suggest circumcision as the only treatment, which is probably the only treatment they know. in other words think of it like cutting off your arm because you have a splinter in your finger. some men just have phimosis, some are caused from forced retraction before puberty. I for one was cut as a baby and devastated because of it.

It didn't hurt during the operation, the doctor used some anesthesic, i felt when he was cutting but it didn't hurt
It hurt for the first 8-10 days, it was pulling on the scar where the doc cut, especially during boners :(
