so ive skyped with people from omegle under the 'fitness' section (where you type it in) and like. im kinda worried they video taped me or whatever. is it possible to video tape someone using the computer? like they literally didnt use a camera or phone to video tape me, but im worried they some how used their computer to video tape my face and such, and that kinda worries me. so is it easy to do, and is it possible? could anyone do it?

it is very easy, they can use programmes like hypercam that like record their screen, so my advice is just be really really careful what you do man

It's so easy that you can have a key combination that triggers your screen recording. I have one. It takes 2 seconds to start recording. Never broadcast over the internet what you wouldn't want the whole word to see.

like, i didn't do anything that was really that bad. the person said he was a trainer. so i was asking him stuff about body fat percentages and stuff, and he said can i see what you look like without shirt, so then i showed him. and then he said hmmmmm (which i was like 'uh ok') and then he said it looked like about 11% body fat, then like he wanted me to do other stuff like flex or whatever. but then i noticed that he wasnt helping he was just saying stuff like hmmmm ok well i cant really give an answer to your questions. then he immediately logged off. so i was really not thinking, and now im worried that im gonna find the video of myself on the internet doing all that which would be scary and embarrasing at the same time. so what are the chances of me actually finding that video of myself, or someone else i know finding it? do you think it will in a way be deleted off the internet if a few years pass (like where the videos (if i find it) go back so far no one would see it)? like would it be lost in the internet with all those other videos? what are the chances of anyone finding it in like 10 years? i asked him who certified him, and he said a legitimate group, so i kinda fell for it :|

The chances it was recorded are highly unlikely. Typically people looking for someone to toy with over a webcam don't take the time to record it.
However, i still wouldn't suggest doing things that could possibly get on the internet and embarrass you. You never know who could end up seeing it.

Well, I am pretty sure he wasn't a trainer. I think he just wanted something to, umm, 'excite' him.

But say that happened to go on some sort of porn site or whatever. What are the chances of someone finding it 10 years down the road or even in a few weeks? I know once you post something on the internet its up forever. But what I'm thinking, is if it did go on some sort of porn site, I'm am sure the other videos would over flood that one video. Making it harder and harder to find. (analogy: say on the web browsing history you visit one site only, it will be easy to find that site cause its the first one. But then 1 week later, 100 more sites are added, then it will dilute that one little site I went to, making it harder to find. So then say 1 year later, it's almost impossible to find because there would probably be over 1000 visited websites. So applyig it to this situation of the guy video taping me and putting it on some porn site. Will it be basically lost and forgotten in the deep void of the internet and almost no one would be able to find it?)

But yes, I will never trust anyone as much as I did before. I was just thinking about it, cause I did that 1 month, and now I'm starting to worry (for some unexplainable reason it just popped up in my head) about it.

If it really was recorded and posted somewhere on the internet, it is unlikely it will ever "fully" disappear, much like anything posted on the internet. The chances of you, or anyone finding this hypothetical video, and recognizing you, are quite slim, so I wouldn't get worked up over it.
But, I think you should definitely think twice before you use Omegle, or anything like that, they generally don't lead to anything good.

I think for the most part it would be very hard to track you but it is really easy to capture stuff on screen. I've never tried it with Skype but I use Fraps to screen capture video games that I play and I guess it would work as well with other stuff.

Anything you see can be recorded with screen capturing software. I know because I have used Camtasia Studio to record gameplay- it's very easy. But you should have nothing to worry about since it's not like you're doing anything illicit are you?

But say that happened to go on some sort of porn site or whatever.

And why would it go on a porn site?

Have you not seen the amount of videos on 'amateur' sites that are soley fit guys flexing, even the ones on YouTube get ridiculous amounts of views.

Um...no. The last time I checked, that wasn't the definition of pornography. And YouTube is not a porn site.

No, but those types of videos still go on porn sites. Regardless of whether it is or not.

Well I have also seen those type of videos on porn sites. I think its just really anything that will turn someone on they put on. I've even seen videos of where someone just gets a normal doctors check up, literally.

This thread has strayed way off topic. Please keep it to discussing OP's original question, or I'll have to lock the thread.

The man probably didnt think to film it... Even though you shouldnt do that sort of stuff with people over the internet. If you want to find out your body fat percentage, I'm sure if you go to a GP/Doctors Surgery and they can tell you using machines

It's insanely easy to record skype conversations. And when I say insanely easy I mean insanely easy.
