Let me be direct. My female best friend is a bit crazy. We've known each other since middle school and I've been like a brother to her ever since we became friends. But of course she doesn't appreciate anything I do for her, I was always there for her, even when she didn't have any other friends... So anyways here's the problem: She's somewhat clingy. The second I start talking to a new group of friends she has to immediately swoop in and pull me out of the group. And the second I have to change plans, or something she calls me "a fake friend" or says she can't count on me for shit. Even today I was hanging out with a girl I recently started dating, and she started cussing me out because I apparently ditched her... Fuck my feelings. Any advice?

You should talk to her and say what you feel. Maybe she likes your as more than a friend or maybe she just feels like you'll get new friends and forget about her. Just try talking to her as nicely as possible.

Don't let her push you around, as the previous person said just carefully explain how you feel and that maybe you could include her (as a compromise) with your plans with your new friends.
I would try and continue this friendship since it has lasted so long already.
:) Hope I've helped.

Just tell her that you will still be friends no matter what, but you're entitled to have other friends. When she tries to pull you out of a group, you pull other in. Good luck:D

She's being manipulative. Manipulative people are usually selfish and are trying to get everyone else to serve them in some way. She sounds like a very bad friend to me.
You need to call her on this and talk to her. If she doesn't change, then ditch her : she is bad for you. You can't allow her to keep pushing you around and being afraid of her having a tantrum : she's acting like a bully from what you've described.
