I haven't been raped but I keep having vivid dreams about rape. The thing is these dreams keep happening and it has come to a point where I am too scared to go to sleep at night because of the dreams that I might have. Could this be a sign of me getting raped in the future? I just don't know :(

No, I don't think that this is a sign that you'll be raped in the future. That doesn't make any sense. It might be because of the threads you're reading here on VT? I don't know, but I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Just don't think about them, especially right before you fall asleep.

Your dreams are caused in part by things your mind thinks about subconsciously during the day, so that could be a factor in it. If it's gotten to the point where it's repeated itself this much and you're actually afraid to go to sleep because of it, I would talk to a professional and see what they would advise because that's serious.. It's NOT a sign that you're going to get raped in the future, I know it's scary hun but please don't think it's a sign because it's not. See what a doctor has to say about it, because repetitive nightmares like this can often have a medical cause behind them. I'm always here for you, and all of us here on VT are, you can talk to us anytime hun

You should talk to them. Bring a friend if you can. If you continue to let it get to you then you are going to lose sleep and become even more paranoid about rape and then you could end up doing worst in school etc because you are tired. It could also be something medical. Talk to your guidance teacher.

You can do it, xYz! Your dreams is your mind taking your fears and putting them into dreams... which is a nightmare in this case. It does NOT mean you will be raped, but I can understand how your scared about it. I know how you feel. :( Im sorry.

xYz, please don't think that about yourself. You're not stupid or ugly. You may be a cutter, but that doesn't define you. You are an amazing, tough fucking person. We need you, okay? The subconscious is a tricky thing to battle. I've been having a similar problem. Just breathe and try to relax. They're only dreams.

they're stopped for a few days but then came back, is there anything that I can do to make them stop for longer periods of time?

I was having the same dreams back in June and July, they were pretty terrible. Dreams are basically your mind taking your subconscious thoughts and turning them into, well dreams. It's not always literal. The rape could maybe represent some fear of not having control of your life or yourself. Maybe you're afraid you yourself will lose control, or that maybe someone else is controlling you. I think that's kind of what it was for me. I was in a pretty bad place mentally and emotionally and just kind of letting things happen and didn't have much control of my life. I started making some changes and taking back my life and the dreams stopped.
If that doesn't apply to you, well it's hard to say since I don't know you. If there's something in your life that you aren't happy with, or something about yourself, make and effort to change it, even if it's just a little bit of change. Anything to make you feel like you do control your life, see if that helps. Also, try to put yourself in a good mood before bed. Listen to some of your favorite cheer up songs, do something you love doing (for me it's drawing or talking to a certain someone). Think about all the good things in your life and about yourself if you can. The way you feel before bed can influence your dreams a lot of times. I hope these dreams stop, they are pretty scary and it makes it harder to sleep. The less you sleep the worse they get, it sucks. So I hope things get better :)
