Ok, so I have known and liked this girl since... ehh... well a long time ago. I want to ask her out and I'm next to positive that she will say yes the only problem is that I don't get my license till march. I also live in a small town (no buses, no taxis, etc) and I am on the opposite side of town from her. So any ideas for a date?

Could I ask how far away from her you live?

About a thirty min. drive from her house. She lives about 45 minutes from the city part of our little sad town you know where everything is at and I live about 15 minutes from the city.

Ok... Ummm, is getting your parents to drive you out of the question?

Your parents, you'll be sad to hear, will be your best friends in this. They're the ones who will be driving you, so be nice to them :P Her parents will also be some of your best friends until you get your license, because they're the ones who will be driving her. I'll admit, it's a bit of a drive, but if you ask her on a date somewhere and she says yes, I would have a talk with her parents to see what they would want to do with the distance between you two. What her parents and your parents think is very important in this, because they are the ones who basically control your situation. They're the ones who you will have to talk with, whether you want to or not. I hope that makes sense?

Yeah asking either my parents or hers isn't that bad. Any ideas for the date itself.

You could go see a movie? Go to dinner, hang out at a mall? Not sure what your area has.

As far as I'm concerned it is worse than a no at least with a no you have closing.
