An interesting situation...

Well, let me start this off by first saying I think I'm bi and I'm 15. Well, as of three weeks ago anyways.
Well, school started last Monday, and in 5th period Spanish there's this guy named Omar who sits on the opposite side of the room, facing me. I've noticed that ever since then, he'd always sit there and just stare at me.
I'd be sitting there working away or participating in class discussion, look up, and catch him looking at me with an expressionless face (Ya' know, kinda like the face people have when they day dream, for example). He then, of course, would quickly look away.
This has been going on since last Monday and, as far as I know when I be lookin' at him (XD), he usually just keeps to his work also... Which I believe rules out any odd fact of a habit of looking at people.

And just to add to this story, today after class, I found what little courage that I had and asked him "What's your name?" And, to which he replied with "Omar."
I then told him my name and said "Nice to meet you" with a smile. He replied with the same in a hard-to-read tone and I just move on.
My question?
Why the hell am I so confused? And is there anyway to tell if someone actually likes you without having to ask that person?

Are you interested in this boy sexually or are you interested in him becuase you find it intriguing that he stares at you. Or maybe he's not staring at you. Is there anything in line between you two thast may interest him? If so it could be that. But hey, talk to the guy. Maybe you'll become friends.

Hmmm... well, it may be a combination of both, really. I mean, I'm like, highly flattered that someone is throwing me glances while I just sit in class bored all day, and I do kinda like him...

Regardless of that, to answer your second question... Not really. I mean, maybe there is, but we actually make eye contact, and when I look up from whatever I'm doing, he has his eyes affixed on mine...
Yeah, I know, it's confusing; though I'mma try to talk to him tomorrow and I'll be sure to take note of his tone and how he acts...

I think he likes u as im the person who is always staring at someone and that is exactly what i do. EYE contact and all. even though it is only for miliseconds at a time. I say u talk to him if u are interested in him u will probably make a new friend atleast. But make sure u dont give confussed signals put ur cards on the table at all times. It could really hurt him if he gets the wrong message. Trust me its happened so many times to myself

Yeah, so true.
And the funny thing is I was thinkin' about what I should say to him. If I just say "I like you" to him, he may freak out. Which, in any case, isn't good.

Though if I just say "Hi" to him, I won't get any answers...
Hm, ya' know, I need a way to make it very subtle that I do like him myself.
But then again I should first ask why he's been staring at me o_0
UGH! XD Man, 'tis confusing...

Idk ... maybe try striking up a conversation with him and becoming acquaintances before you try to say you like him or asking him out? :/
