so i have the older version of internet explorer fyi
i go to the tools sections and then it says "delete browsing history". then a box comes up and has a bunch of little boxes to check off.
i have checked off the following
temporary internet files
cookies
history
form data
passwords
in private filtering data
but there is a line dividing the above box checks and the bottom one
but i do not have the box checked off that says
preserve favorites website data

history
form data
passwords

It deletes exactly what it says. Your browsing data. It doesn't delete the entire program, nor would you really have any need to.
There are ways people have been able to recover supposed "deleted" files before, but that's nothing you need to worry about.

It wont stop it from saving data in the future. Get chrome if you want that.

no what it means is that with explorer every couple weeks or months u half to delete the history but with chrome u can set so that chrome deletes the history every time u close the browser, which makes a more faster and better browser to use. i personally use chrome(and firefox) and it works just great for me. so like most other ppl i would recommend u download chrome or firefox cause they both the better and faster browsers

im a tad confused. so if i dont delete the history every couple of weeks. all those websites i went on will come back? i mostly use safari, and i only use enternet explorer if i wanna go on certain sites. but i always delete the history and such after i go on those sites. then i use safari for stuff like fb, vt, etc.

Yeah, but with chrome on incognito (jokingly called porn mode :P), it won't save web browsing data at all.... the only downside is because it deletes cookies, it will not keep you logged into websites upon closing the window or tab.

so will that permanently delete the enter microsoft windows internet explorer
No. You need to go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel for that.

They don't "come back" like a vampire once you run out of garlic. If you don't clear your history every time you visit a website, the website will stay in your history until you delete it. It's not that complicated.
i only use enternet explorer if i wanna go on certain sites. but i always delete the history and such after i go on those sites. then i use safari for stuff like fb, vt, etc.
What's the difference between Explorer and Safari for which sites you go to? Isn't that kind of a lot of work? Just download TrueCrypt and use full disk encryption. The entire contents of your drive will be secured against unauthorized access.

When you delete your browsing history, it's gone. When you is it a website it will be recorded in the history again. In chrome or Firefox, there is an option to delete history whenever you close the page. Deleting the history will not delete the program.

It will delete that, but not everything. As well, you'd have to delete it every time you use it (except the password stuff, thats already said and done)

i dont really encrypt, i only prefer ccleaner because it actually deletes it, plus many more things like font cache and memory dumps, which can cause unnecessary high cpu usage. i used it after a month and it cleaned 8 gb of crap.

It seems to me like the OP is sufficiently paranoid enough that he should be encrypting his drive.

You could also try using the "in private browsing" feature most browsers have an option to activate.
This will avoid having to delete the browsing history every time you are done after browsing
