Hello everyone! Recently me an my boyfriend have been discussing sex. We've only been together for 3 weeks now but we do want to be prepared so we know what's happening when we do end up doing it in a couple months. We have decided against condoms, for the mere fact that were both virgins and gay, so I don't believe there's much risk in bare sex...does anyone have any thoughts on this? I prefer no condom but maybe you guys think its less safe?

No no use a condom. It's less safe to forgo it. I'm assuming you're going to engage in anal sex. Use a condom it's safer. Much safer. You risk feces in the penis, ripping the anal walls, anal fissures, tearing of the anal sphincter, passing bacteria to the penis, pink sock aka rectal prolapse, etc. all which can be dramatically reduced with a properly used condom.
But, if you're dead set on not using one, you guys must douche yourself. You have to, have to, have to clean it out so's to not risk the penis getting dirty, bacteria that's in there getting in it, feces getting stuck in the penis. The anus isn't a pretty place, full of icky little bacterias. You must absolutely use a good amount of lube once it's cleaned out, the anus will feel funny after having been washed out anyways so this'll not only help prevent rectal prolapse but relax you. Go slowly of course.

A condom really helps with the lubrication side, and also makes cleaning up a little easier.
Technically there are hygeine reasons to wear a condom other than STDs but really, very small odds if you observe basic hygeine afterwards (i.e. soap and water, baby wipes etc). Just think about what a baby has to deal with - parents just wash em, and its fine.
Douching - its not for everyone. You really don't have to do it to be sufficiently clean, and it can actually make everything much messier rather than cleaner. If you are dirty up there, its because you need to use the bathroom, otherwise its really surprising how clean it is in my experience. If in doubt, at least wear a condom at the start.
Lube - definately, and reapply frequently.

My b/f and i did anal for the first time yesterday. We're virgins and have not had any kind of sexual activity with anyone else (bj, hj, etc) for over a year. We took our time preparing ourselves for this event and my b/f used a condom for our first time...but because we saw this as just more than "feel good sex", it was really our commitment to each other, when he was close, he took it off and gave me all of him. It was more than just physical. I guess what I'm saying, if you're sure your partner is safe clean and healthy, do whatever you want...if you're not sure about your partner or yourself, even before deciding if you want condoms or not, you might ask if you're ready for that kind of sex in the first place. Just my opinion.

Use a condom, for your own sake, an your partners.

You'll find even though there's no risk of pregnancy obviously, the condom will really help you get it in because they already have the lubrication on them.
I think condoms get a bad wrap. Even if you're not going all the way and just fooling around, you should try some different flavoured condoms.

Use a condom don't risk any STDs. I for one plan on using a condom until I get married to the guy and I know it will most likely last. It's best to be safe
