Hey. I'm new here, and was just wondering through the forums, when I saw this section. And I've been wondering what would be the best approach to weight lifting. I go to weights with a few friends at school every mourning, and we're allowed to lift as much as we want, but I'm unsure what to do. I'm 14, playing football, with an average build. I'm currently midway through football, and I don't wanna lift so much that it affects me during football. And if it helps, I'm 5'6" and 125 pounds. Any advice would help! :)

Go to this link

http://www.sandowplus.co.uk/Competition/Paschall/paschall.htm

then scroll down to the book The Bosco System of Progressive Physical Training and click on the pic of the book the system in it will get you started.

Just don't forget always warm up with a set light barbell snatches using no more then 6 reps on the snatches, and alaso use a few bodyweight exercsies as well to warm up with like pushups.

Oh and another thing when working out use weights that are not super heavr so that you can do the exercises in correct form and concentrat more on real food then protien powders.
