Er, you took that too literally.

What I mean is you see a nice girl, and you go in to get to know her. Not ok one day you're going to be my girlfriend and we'll be dating, that sort of makes it creepy you know? Like you're targeting her and just waiting to pounce. So going in with the intention of getting to know her helps her get to know you and not make her the prey and you the hunter. From there you either see if you have feelings for her, or not, because we can't help how we feel all of the time especially when it comes to liking someone.
That's what I mean by the relationship finding you.

Okay, I suggest you do this, Stop trying to get a relationship, trust me it makes life so much more unstressful. I sort of want a relationship, but at the same time I like being single. I say go out and have as much fun as possible with your friends. Having a relationship can really hamper your time with friends. Also I suggest you do do what FreeFall suggests. Just get to know someone first. If you go in with the mindset of going out with everygirl you become friends with it can end up badly. That is pretty much the only girls I tried to become friends with. Also join a club or soemthing, you'll make friends there and you could possibly harbor the beginning of a good relationship.

There's no rush man, I've had a few girlfriends and really only enjoyed one relationship, you need to wait for a girl you really love then it will just come naturally what to be like around her. If you go chasing loads of girls then they will just see you as a sex crazed guy and that will not help you at all!

Also in my opinion sex isn't that great unless you really like the girl do don't just have sec with the first girl that's up for it cause it will be a big disappointment.just be yourself around girls and you will find someone you really like eventually. Don't just flirt with everyone save it for someone you actually like and you will probably find someone a lot quicker

You're 17. You don't know when the right girl comes along, perfect woman's probably not going to come around until you're well into or past your 20's. Hell just a few minutes ago I questioned if my boyfriend of 1 year and 6 months is "the one for me". No one knows until it happens, just clicks and life seems to be easy and/or better with that new puzzle piece.
Just relax, breathe and maybe try to stop obsessing over whether you'll be alone forever or not because, you're 17.
