So I don't dedicate myself to diving as a sport, I just do it for fun, but I want to get into cliff diving. I've done it only a couple times. Anyhow, I was wondering just how high a jump can before you start breaking things when you hit the water, and how shallow the water can be in relation to the dive height before you and the ground meet face to face. Also If you live in western Canada if you know some nice cliff jumping spots then post'em here.

I the over 100 ft could be pretty dangerous and it should be at least 200 ft deep imho

Uhmmm.
That seems extraordinarily dangerous. Hoooly crap.
Jumping ~30m into water? I would assume that your feet would be saddened.

it is all about technique. Hold your hands against your body and be a straight line.
i have done a couple cliff dives. highest was about 15m. waters was about 20 to 25m.

sounds nasty. first time you do it, or if you haven't done it in a while, it is scary. i just suck it up and run and jump. then you just stay as a stick and the water will hit you before you know it.
