Ive had slight minor tic's for a while now, like eye squinting and twitching, its never really bothered me as its so minor and un noticible. But today I got my first shoulder/neck tic, that involves my neck jerking forward and my shoulders following, its only happend 2 or 3 times today, but im just a little concered because ive never had this one before.

If anyone has any idea what i should do, it would be useful:)

P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong place

That sounds wierd. It's not life threatening but you could be having little mini siezures. It could be epilepsy but I'm not sure. If I were you, I'd see a doctor.
(Again, not life threatening.)

This could be associated with the starting symptoms of tourettes. However minor twitches/ticks can also be caused by stress, lack of sleep, or anxiety. I'd consult your doctor about this, just to be safe.

I'm not sure. See if it continues, maybe it's serious. I'd see a doctor if it doesn't stop.

Tics can be caused by stress, lack of sleep and probably other things that Im not aware of. It's not necessarily due to tourettes syndrome, to be diagnosed with it I think you have to have at least one physical tic and one vocal. Although there are probably many more factors that go along with that.

I experience tics due to stress. Sometimes it's just mouth twitches and other times it can be hand/head/leg jerks. There's nothing wrong with it, nothing I'd consider worth seeing a doctor for anyway. Just keep going about your normal routine, if it starts getting in the way of you doing everyday things then I'd bring it up with someone, otherwise you might just find it occurs once a day or every other day. Something that's annoying but doesn't affect you so much.

Tics can sometimes just be random, it doesn't necessarily have to be a tic disorder. Anxiety is often related to tics.
I myself have Tourette's, and I experience the same sort of thing with my neck/head/shoulders, so you might want to look in to it. But, as Nikki said, if it's not much of a problem then don't worry about it if it doesn't bother you. If you are bothered by it, then sure, see your GP and they'd be likely to refer you to a neurologist or neuropsychiatrist who will try to see what's going on, try and diagnose you with a tic disorder (Tourette's is definitely not the only tic disorder, that's another misconception), and possibly put you on medication.

@rob5454 - seizures generally involve your brain pretty much shutting down, the person seizing would be unconscious.

Actually, Tourette's Syndrome diagnosis isn't completely based on tics. To be diagnosed with Tourette's, you'd also have the components of the disorder, which include OCD, depression, anxiety and/or ADHD. And with Tourette's, you don't have to have both motor and phonic tics, that's a common misconception and a stereotype.
