I know it might feel safe to have them next to you but really, if you're serious about quitting the best thing to do is make sure they're nowhere near you.

I would go with the consensus and throw it out. If it's around, you'll be much more tempted to do it, and that's not what you want. You've been able to go clean for a while, you can beat this addiction I know you can! You've been strong, throwing the blade out will be for the best in the end, trust me..
