I have a crush on this guy at school. He's really nice I walk with him at lunch sometimes but I can't get our relationship to go further. I'm kinda shy. I don't think it would be a good idea to just ask him to date me. I just want some advice from you guys. Thanks

You could also work your way to being one of his really close friends if you aren't already.

You don't have to call it a "date" but ask him if he wants to go somewhere like a convenience store and get a bottle of pop or an energy drink. But clarify that it's between 2 friends. This will make him think something of you.

... Best thing I can think of is to tell him straight up that you like him, and wait for a reaction. Being blunt tends to work well for many people. But do it in a somewhat private place where its only you and him. I'm not the best at these things, but Ive had some experience.
