Trimming Pubes

What is the best thing to use to trim your pubes? Manual razor, electric razor, etc.?

To shave trim as short as you can with scissors being carful not to cut yourself then with a fresh or barely used manual razor and shaving cream shave in the direction the hair grows, if it's your first time, then in the opposite direction to get a nice and smooth shave. After a couple of times shaving like I just described you will be able to start the shaving part by shaving against the grain, or hair, and get a pretty smooth shave. To help with ingrown hairs run the razor with the grain once it helps realign the hair follicles with the openings for the hair. And when you shave you don't want to push hard. Just enough pressure to keep the blade close to your skin for a close shave and rinse the blade often to keep it free of hair. And since I'm guessing this is your first time shaving put some lotion on after you pat dry to help with razor burn.

Well, to trim I've used both scissors and the beard trimmer on an electric razor. The electric razor was much quicker. If, you are trying to do it where no one will know then I would use scissors since an electric razor makes alot of noise.

i use a comb to pull the hair away from my skin then put the comb back up next to my skin and use scissors to cut anything that is beyond the comb

This all depends on how you want the finished product to look. A manual razor will give you a smooth, bare look. However, you must be extra careful to avoid cutting yourself, which can happen. Therefore, you should also use shaving cream and preferably a razor with 3+ blade. With an electric razor, its pretty much just going over the area until it is all trimmed. This will give your pubes a stubbly/short length look. Its a up to you which one you choose and I suggest trying both just to see which style you like best. Just be aware that pubic hair grows very quickly and you will have to keep trimming/shaving every few days.

I have always used a pair of barber scissors when I have a trim. It works just fine for me. If you wan't to shave use a razor, under water in the shower, don't hack at your pubes take your time and should work a treat mate.

I trim my pubes short using a Norelco body shaver. It is like a mini of the electric clippers the barber uses. You can adjust it to whatever length you want your pubes. It was like $30 at Target.

I use scissors, but electric trimmers are meant to be good too, I just can't afford one :(
