I was wondering. Would the mods/admins approve of me sponsoring VT at my high school. I know of quite a few people who could use a site like this, and I don't have the time or resources to go see them individually. I was thinking a gigantic poster or something on the announcement board. Let me know ASAP. And thanks in advance!

I don't actually think it's against the rules to do that at all. I personally wouldn't because this is where I can spill my secrets.

I agree with Professional Russian. Don't advertise it. Talk to them individually whether it means messaging them on facebook or what not. I don't really want a bunch of people to see this site, see say my profile, figure out who I am and then make fun of me for my beliefs and other stuff. I say let them find it, or tell them about it. Yes I know what I post is on the internet, but still if someone where to find out who I am I would be crushed...I try to remain anonymous as much as I can....

I have to agree with everyone else. Besides, this isn't your website. Annnnd, do you know the amount of spam that would cause? "TELL US YOUR SECRETS AT VIRTUAL TEEN.COM! The mods would be on duty 24/7 blocking spamming IP adresses. All in all, not a good idea. Besides, VT is my special place, ya know? It's like a diary. And I don't really like the idea of it being broadcasted all over an entire school, and I don't want it to become a guessing game, to see who is the person behind the screen. It would totally degrade and humiliate a dignified wedsite. Annnnnd it would seriously take away fromt he people here are really looking for help. But if it's not against the rules, and the mods are for it, I cannot stop you. ~holli

Yeah. I didn't really think about it before I posted it.

I think that you should only give the site to people that need it, don't just shove it on a bulletin board.

Give the link INDIVIDUALLY to the people you feel need it. That is my opinion.

If you want, go ahead. I wouldn't advissse it, but if you want, don't listen to the others and have them join :P

I posted a message on facebook about another forum on the network, and it worked fine.

I agree completely with Max. You can tell people about the site, of course, but don't just make an announcement about the site, because that will almost inevitably lead to spam, and that's something we do not need.
Also, if you are talking about sponsoring it as in paying for it, that will never happen.

I really don't like the idea of that. I think that would bring a crowd over that could possibly only want to troll or it could bring adult users on here. We don't want either of those.

Last time I checked, the rules do not govern what I do at school or away from this website. I wouldn't tell anyone about this site because everyone I know probably has better things to do than hang around here, but if I wanted to tell them the rules (which don't even say anything like that) wouldn't stop me.

They don't, your common sense does.
You are permitted to tell anyone about this site, or any site really, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should, as you said.

Umm no! I would not do that at all! I would not trust a whole lot of people at my school to know this type of info at me, because it can lead up to the whole school knowing, then it will get worse and worse! If a friend of mine needs help, I wouldn't tell them about this website, (unless they find it on their own and they see me on here) I would just go on here, ask the question, or see anyone who has that same problem, and seek for advice, then help my friend.

People that need our help have no problem finding us on their own.
