Can anyone reccomend me a movie that features or is about self harm? I've seen "Thirteen", which is a great movie (my favorite). It has to be kind of popular because all I have is (are?) the movie channels. Oh I didn't know if I have should put this in the television section or here. I figured I'd get better answers here. thanks in advance.

I don't really know. Something I can relate too, I guess. The fact that movies include it kind of makes its seem a little less taboo. Makes me feel a bit less wierd.

I can understand why. Er, I can't say I've seen movies like that, but the music video for "Fucking Perfect" by pink is great.

Painful Secrets (also known as secret cutting)
Then these aren't about cutting per say but are linked to mental illness/depression.

To Save a Life or How To Save A Life is a pretty good movie. I think its actualy to save a life though. ITs a good movie, it includes self harm as well with teen pregnancy and relationships and almost any teen thing that you can think of. IT includes almost all of the problems and is pretty cool.

The music video for Everybody's Fool by Evanescence is really good. It's not so much about self harm as hating yourself.

Prozac Nation is a pretty good film.
Not really seen anything else other than that to be honest.
Sorry for not being much help though!!
Why would you want to watch a movie with that in?
With me, I don't know what it is like for any one else, but for me it's a sense of knowing that I'm not on my own with this and generally it helps me with the urges. Same reason why I have one of my Tumblr accounts. I don't know.
