I forgot how much I love this genre until recently, just getting back into bands like Throwdown, Evergreen Terrace, Sick of It All, Casey Jones, On Broken Wings etc
Anyone a fan?

I've never been able to get into it. Although if I'm in the right mood, and the mall plays the right hardcore song, I can get into it.

But no specific bands/songs intrigue me.

I'll just defend this guy for one brief second here.

Hardcore has become an umbrella term (much like Techno, even though that's a subgenre)

Hardcore will always refer to any angry sounding band, with screamo-ish lyrics.

Hell, half the people have probably never learned that Hardcore is split into 3 waves depending on time span, metal-core, and at least 5 others I'm not willing to type out.

Well that's just obvious, metalcore is however a sub-genre of hardcore that has some elements of metal, mainly a back 4/4 with sub heavy cords.

But that's besides the point. I hate the people who refer to the oldest punk bands to found Hardcore, as Hardcore.
Minor Threat will NEVER be hardcore, technically 1st generation, but still. PUNK.

I wasn't actually calling Aiden metalcore, I'm just saying Aiden probably do fit SOMEWHERE under the giant umbrella that is Hardcore. I've just never bothered to classify hardcore bands.

Aiden Doesnt scream nearly as much as atreyu.


Atreyu has been classified as hardcore rock(except there new album...no screaming) The Curse Is hard core for sure.( 2004 atreyu album.)

Im talking about all these new Avenge Sevonfold rip-off bands like Atreyu and BFMV. I hate that stuff, its so fuckin lame. Im just sayin im not into THAT sorta of pussy metal stuff.
