So as you see, many guys are wearing socks high, usually nik black socks. Who or what made them in style?

Can't tell you exactly. I remember seeing some commercial back like 2 years ago maybe for nike sandals and they had some macho athlete buff guy wearing them with those stupid socks. Now I see so many guys in those sandals and socks, personally I hate that look.

Never saw this in the atlanta area. No way anyone wears black socks with sandals. Ever. The only time I see anyone wear socks with sandals is tourists that are def sporting a look from their region of the world and even then, they're white socks and the dudes wearing 'em look pretty old. Never say a woman of any age do this or a dude under the age of 50.

If I ever saw someone wearing black socks with sandals, I'd think they are doing it as a joke.

Here if you wear, high tops or Converse people do it. I wear converse but I wear black short socks.

I'm not the only one who notices! I actually have a reason why i wear black socks high, others I don't know. I used to get made fun of if I did, but now everyone does. Btw, my reason is because I have to for uniforms and stuff for JROTC. But not everyone is in JROTC so I have no idea...

I don't mind it at all. A ton of guys at my school like basically every athlete, wear those nike or adidas sandals with socks, white black or blue (our school color). I guess I'm just used to it, but I have noticed that's become popular lately. I think it looks fine though.

I'm asking who made it fashionable

I don't get it. I see it all the time. I don't see the point in it. I remember when they were unfashionable. I think it was just a thing that people started doing and then others followed. Y'know, like follow the leader?
