how do i escape the friendzone?

i am in love with a girl but she has told me that she only sees me as a friend, although recently she started showing some signs that she might also like me. but i am afraid that i might still be in the friendzone. what would you propose in order to escape it?

Just tell her how you really feel, sounds simple but trust me..coming up with the right words to say are near impossible and the embarrassment is unbearable!

You know what I did? Kept being persistant. Eventually she gave in and I think she started to like me, but I didn't have money so I couldn't do anything :(

Edit: Oh yea,definitely go with what tomcolly also said. Don't hang out with her everyday, dont stay with her for more than 2 minutes until your going out. haha I think that might work.

tough one. i'd say maybe try not to be best mates and spend too much time with her until you're going out. maybe flirt occasionally but don't just be with her all the time until ur prepared to ask her out..

Well, not completely true, but theres nothing YOU can do. You have announced your intentions and she will have to make the first move if she ever will and if you think she really has changed her mind then play hard to get untill she does make first move as payback for letting you down with those four words she undoubtedly used to brake your very soul.You'r a great guy...

Sorry for my cynicism, but i've been shot down like that and it tears you up. Not to mention they then string you along pretending that she wants you to still be friends as she secretly feeds off your desperate despair like some empathic vampiress that you may someday get together....Or not.
