My dad is going to LA in California for biz and may take me. I wanna find out if the Metro Trains goes to most of the cool places to see there. Also, is it safe enough for me to go on it by myself because dad will be busy most of the time?

WHERE IS PAT WHEN YOU NEED HIM!!!!!!!!!

But i's a massive system of links from San Diego up along the Southern Cali coast, I think, Pat might yell at me if I get this wrong :p but yeah it should go to most major landmarks along the way. Depends, what are you planning on seeing?

I'm not sure what I want to see on my own because my dad will probably only have one day to go places with me and we'll have the rental car then. What would you see if it was you going thats near the train stations?

I'm here. And ah, you're getting confused with MetroLink! :P

The LA metro is okay. I would avoid the Blue line and primarily stick to the gold or red lines (the Blue passes through some of the most sketchy parts of LA). It depends really on where you're going. The red line has a stop near some downtown hotspots/famous places, and a stop at Universal studios.

And, if you want to explore some nice beaches, take MetroLink from Union Station to San Juan Capistrano Station, and hop on the OCTA 87 to Dana Point! I went there a few months ago, it's really pretty :)

Yes, but bring a phone just in case! ;)
(That's a rule on any public transit system, though. I'm sure you'll be fine!)
