Girlfriend question!

Just have a question about the age of myself and my girlfriend. I have been talking to this girl on a dating site, --link removed-- and we had just decided to get together. She is very sweet and amazing, and she says I am very good to her and like a true man :) Everything is great, she is happy and content and so am I. This is long distance. She is from California, and I am from NY. Not bad, considering my last girlfriend was in England!!

Anywayyy....I just turned 19 in August and she is 15, but seems very mature, intelligent and smart for her age, and to mention, very beautiful :)

Some people I've talked to say it's fine and some people said I can get in trouble for it? I mean, whats right here? Im sure there are opinions for both....but it;s not like my girlfriend and I are gonna be fuking when we meet....I don;t do that unless the girl is closer to my age.

Well, other than the age gap being umm... I dont know hard to say if its okay or not but you said shes mature and smart so thats good. But other than age of consent theres no problems than these two and her parents being okay with it... parents in that situation can suck... Good luck though. :)

You could get in trouble if you tried to do anything sexual and someone (lets say her parents) heard about it they could press charges and you could be pinned as a child molester or something like that. So you just need to be careful about what happens

Even with the age gap, I think it's fine. Of course, it is socially frowned upon for someone of your age to be with someone of her age, but I've personally been in relationships - if you can really call them that - with guys much older than myself, and it would just be fucking hypocritical for me to say that your age gap is awful. Plus, when you think about your parents or grandparents, a four-year gap isn't that much, is it? My grandparents are 13 years apart!

There's a difference when both are above the legal age though.
a 12 year old with a 20 year old? ick. A 22 year old with a 30 year old? Still mmm but it's fine.

Just be very careful. You're 19, she's underaged in your state. The gap's sort of big for teens but once she's 17, you can have more breathing room.

EDIT: You're on opposite ends of the country! Well, still be careful about sexual thing if your relationship reaches that stage. In California the age of consent is 18. 17 still for your state. She sounds like she's got a decent head on her shoulders, you two should be fine. Good luck and I hope your relationship goes well (:

You had best hope you can keep it in your pants for a couple more years. It would really suck to be labeled as a child predator at 19. Nearly impossible to get a job, incapable of living anywhere near a school or other place children frequent. I used to live in Florida where about 17% of the US child molesters live, and we had to learn about it year after year. Just wait till shes 18.

Also, please consider that you are a legal adult and she isn't. If you're in love, there's not much I can do. However, be prepared to handle some arguments, because that age-gap is questionable ethically. Other than that, congratulations! :D
