Warning, this is not a normal "My mouse is too slow/fast" issue.

I have a 64-bit Windows 7 Gaming computer, and I just got a new mouse. For all other mice that I use, as well as the trackpad, Windows' top speed setting is perfect. This new mouse that I got is much faster than anything else I use, but I like it since it has two buttons on the left, which is nice for MMOs. Is there any way I could adjust the mouse's software to reduce the speed of that mouse, without having to reduce the Windows system speed as well?

I've exhausted my Google-fu trying to find an answer, and I'm tired of returning lab test logs of mice in labyrinths.

yeah they sometimes make some mice faster than others, you can also adjust the speed in your control panel too. thats what I had to do for my Mouse.

I think that is the only way you can adjust the speed as far as I know

Is there no way to crack into a Dell mouse firmware? I'm sure mice speak binary or something like that. I've heard that binary isn't that hard to learn. In fact....

Google.

You're going to learn binary so you can change the DPI setting on your mouse? Isn't that overkill?

I can now read binary, so that's a useful skill I now hold in my repertoire, I suppose. Anyone know of a good place to learn programming?
