How to tell my dad?

Ive been with my girlfriend for a little over 6 months now and we are sadly long distance. :( And I havent told my dad about me and her being together or the fact her and I wanna see each other next summer being Id go to her and her mom is basically said yes to it. I will get the money for a plane ticket to go there, pay for things between her and I, etc. But my issue is, how do I tell my dad Im with her and I wanna see her next summer? Hes normally understanding, will make stupid comments at times but if you have the money he will say yes. Im just scared to tell him and Im not sure how...

Just tell him! If you said what he is here, then most likely he is going to respond how you think he is going to respond! But the only thing that your dad might double think is the distance dating! So you need to make sure you truly make sure that he knows this is a real girl, she is what she said she is, and that he gets full contact with the parent of the gf, because parents don't want to send their kids off to some family they don't know! So yeah, otherwise just tell him!

My dad has had long distance relationships himself so it may not be to surprising to him. But she is real, we talk all the time from Facebook to skype. And I know her better than anyone else, and Im sure he'll talk to my girlfriends mom.

Man i've been in the same situation kind of! For 6 months I dated a girl from ENGLAND and I was in the USA here and made plans to see her both my parents both said yes and my dad and her mom talked and i ended up going to see her for the weekend. It was alot of driving (had to go from London to Ellesmere Port (near liverpool)) but worth it.

BUT you need to keep in mind that talking on the internet and talking in person is two different things....keep in mind that it may or may not be the same. Just my personal advice, you dont need to follow it!
