I've been with this girl (we're not dating, but were really active with each other) for a while now but I havn't made the move yet and I'm scared, I thought today was the perfect day, we were at the 2nd floor of one of the buildings in my school ALONE chatting for over 20 mins and I did not make the first move! then we went to the gym and we sat litterally 1cm away from eachother but there were people there at the other side of the gym and she doesn't like doing that stuff in public. So I thought I missed my chance... anyway I still go to parties that she goes to so maybe Ill have the time.. how can I not be scared!!arrrrr I know it will be awkward I just don't want to end what we built up for a move...

You managed to actually talk to her and be a normal human being for all that time? That's so important.

Obviously you do need to talk about your feelings, complement her and all that stuff ... but it sounds like you have a good foundation of friendship there already so that shouldn't be too much of a surprise to her.

You obviously want to move things forward, so just keep creating opportunities like that and it will happen. Make an effort to tell her she's looking nice when you see her or whatever works for you and that should give her a clue you are interested, and you can build on that when you are ready.

If your extremely scared right now, to ask for her to be your gf, just ask her out on a date! I think dates are perfect before you start a relationship, because then you guys can go somewhere where you most likely won't get interrupted, then you guys can have fun and talk! And when your ready, ask her to be your gf. Don't have to do any fancy!
