so i think it would be a good idea to get a notification, like when someone PM's you, when someone replies to a post you made. that way you can tell when someone replies to a thread youve started..

just an idea, but itd be really cool to see.

*edit* this was supposed to be in suggestions. my bad mods.

You can currently subscribe to threads and when someone replies to that thread, you'll be notified in your user CP :)

If you automatically subscribe to every thread you post in (like I do) then you'll realize that receiving a new notification that someone has replied to a thread (if it's a popular one and if it notifies you on EVERY reply to it, then prepare for notification spam) every other minute can become pretty annoying. A good alternative is to leave your email open and every time you get a new email, open the webpage and read the email.

Already notifications for pms. And just subscribe to threads you want to keep your eye on. Notifications will alert you when they are replied to.

Well we actually do have a notification for if someone does pm you, and you get the option of that or not, but it's a nice idea you have, but because there are so many users using this that it would basically spam your time on here! But if you want to know who is writing on your threads, you can go to statistics, then see threads post by you, and it will be highlighted if someone commented on a thread you made, and if you wrote in a thread and want to see other peoples opinions, go to User CP and you can see who commented on threads you also commented too.

Correct me if i'm wrong but also if people quote your post and reply if you search your username those posts will come up.

(not 100% on this)

yeah. you write your username and say "Search posts" instead of "Search threads"
