Hey, I stung myself on about 100 nettles in one place and after the allergic reaction and hives, the main swelling is reduced but there are now nasty red spots. How can I reduce the redness at least?

Aloe helps reduce bright red areas for me. It may help for you if you have some, even 50% aloe works. It doesn't get rid of all the red, but it helps reduce most of it to a sort of pink?

If you don't have aloe but have aspirin, try this. http://www.wikihow.com/Reduce-Pimple-Redness-and-Size-%28Aspirin-Method%29

Works great for pimples so maybe it works for most other red spots too.

Try piriton. (http://www.piriallergy.com/piri-range/piriton.aspx) They're antihistamine tablets. You can get them from any chemist. They'll reduce any itching and redness if any of the allergic reaction is still occuring. I usually live off these when I have allergic reactions too insect bites :p

If not buy witchhazel to rub on it, this will reduce reddness and swelling :)

Either way though, the redness should go down by it's self in a few days :)

Aloe vera, ice, and then taking antihistamines or anti-inflammatories.
