Pink Floyd was a band in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and early 90's. They have created 16 studio albums. The two most famous albums are The Wall and The Dark Side Or The Moon. The Wall consists of 26 songs. The Dark Side Of The Moon consists of 9 songs. In all Pink Floyd recorder 109 songs. I have very one of them on my Ipod. Roger Waters , David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright made up the legendary progressive rock band, Pink Floyd. They have created some of the best songs in music history (in my opinion). In 1968 Syd Barrett left the band because of his deteriorating mental health. Their first studio album, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, was the last album that they has Syd Barrett for because of mental break down. That's when they replaced Barrett with David Gilmour. Richard Wright wrote one of Pink Floyds Most Famous songs, The Great Gig In the Sky, which is one The Dark Side Of The moon. The key board and singing is just heart stopping. Pink Floyd's most well known album, The Wall, is a master piece which includes, all three Another Brick In The Wall, Comfortably Numb, The Trial, and Stop. In 1994 During Pink Floyd's Pulse tour David Gilmour did an amazing performance of Comfortably Numb's Solo. Some people say its over rated but I think its just amazing. Stop, which is only 30 seconds long demonstrates once again Richard Wright's amazing keyboarding. Animals is one of Pink Floyds master pieces. Dogs,Pigs, and Sheep are three amazing songs proving David Gilmours musical genius. Echeos which is on Pink Floyd's 6th album, Meddle, Proves David Gilmour's and Roger Water's Musical Genius. On Saturday 2*July 2005, Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright performed together as Pink Floyd for the first time in more than 24*years, at the Live 8 concert in London’s Hyde Park. The Wall, Pink Floyd's 12th studio album is about Roger Waters life after his dad died in WWII. Pink Floyd as sold more than 250 million albums world wide. They are also ranked number 51 on rolling stone's top 100 artists of all time. They also made a movie, The Wall, visualizing The Wall (Album). Roger Waters' lyrics to*The Dark Side of the Moon*dealt with the pressures of modern life and how those pressures can sometimes cause insanity. They won a Grammy for The Wall.

Now onto Queen:

Freddie Mercury sadly died in 1991. In 1992 they had a tribute concert for him. The Concert included Elton John, Axl Rose, David Bowie, and the original Queen members and some more. Freddie Mercury, in my opinion, is the best musician because he did every thing he could for his fans. Freddie recorded “The Show Must Go On” in a wheel chair it was also his last song. There are many bands that cited Queen as there influence including Van Halen, Guns and Roses, Journey, Kansas, Motley Crue, and Def Leppard. Freddie also wrote 2 of most well known songs, Bohemian Rhapsody and Killer Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody was number one on Rolling Stones Best Vocal Performances In Rock History. Freddie Mercury also had aids. He did not tell anybody but the band members until around the time he got extremely sick. Some people criticize him about having aids and how hes not a good role model. The one person that ive seen do this the most is Amanda Bieber. She is literally dumber than dog shit. She thinks Justin Bieber came out with “Somebody To Love” before Queen. Freddie Mercury died before Justin Bieber was even born(i think). Freddie is a good role model because of what he did. He tried to everything he could for fans. He always made people happy. Bohemian Rhapsody, which was written by Freddie him self, is one of the greatest musical performances in history. Queen pushed all their equipment to limits yo make it the best. It is considered a 6 minute mini opera. They also won many awards they are as follows:

Maybe you can't, but everyone else can. The only reason that there aren't a bunch of big "new" bands is because in rock, bands usually have to be around for awhile to get really big. Unlike in pop, where the latest 1-hit-wonder tops the charts for a week and then is gone. But even so, there are bands that have become popular in the last few years or bands on the rise that are better than pop. And by better I mean more dynamic, deeper lyrics, more talented, etc.
